Artist Statement
These works were the first drawings I made after a period of intense and stressful personal change. This stress contributed to a case of tonsillitis I contracted that made me take my first day off in about a month. The day was spent hiding in a friends space away from the world. For the first time in a while I had the space to re-set and I was able to see and draw again. These drawings are about being in love with someone so much everything they do seems like a still life and sitting with the bitter sweet feeling that they'll be gone someday soon.
